Professor Gabriela Prelipcean becomes Acting Rector of Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava, ensuring continuity of leadership and NEOLAiA engagement.
Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava (USV) is honored to announce that Professor Ph.D. Mihai Dimian, Rector of the university, has been appointed Minister of Education and Research of Romania. The appointment represents an important recognition of Professor Dimian’s academic leadership and of the institutional contribution of USV to the development of higher education and research in Romania.
During his tenure as Rector, Professor Dimian played a significant role in strengthening the university’s academic profile, supporting international cooperation, and promoting strategic initiatives that enhance the visibility and impact of the institution at both national and European levels.
During the period in which Professor Dimian serves as Minister, the university leadership will ensure the continuity of its academic and strategic activities. Following the approval of the suspension of Professor Dimian from the position of Rector for the duration of his governmental mandate, Professor Ph.D. Gabriela Prelipcean, Vice-Rector for Resource Planning and Student Affairs, has been appointed Acting Rector of Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava.
Professor Gabriela Prelipcean will exercise the responsibilities of the Rector’s office throughout Professor Dimian’s ministerial mandate. In parallel, she will conti
nue her role as NEOLAiA Local Project Manager, ensuring the continued engagement of USV within the NEOLAiA European University Alliance and the ongoing development of collaborative initiatives within the network.
