On 9 March, the University of Ostrava (UO) hosted the NEOLAiA Festival, an open event for students and staff marking two years since the launch of NEOLAiA alliance activities. The festival highlighted the impact of the alliance at the university and introduced participants to opportunities and collaborations made possible through NEOLAiA.
The programme included an opening session and a panel discussion with participants involved in NEOLAiA, who shared their experiences of working within the alliance. A short presentation also explored what the University of Ostrava would not have without NEOLAiA, highlighting the added value of the partnership.
Participants could also attend a series of 15-minute presentations showcasing selected NEOLAiA activities and initiatives at the university.
Alongside the main programme, visitors explored interactive spaces including thematic corners dedicated to mobility, joint study programmes and citizen science, a student zone, and an art exhibition featuring students’ work. The festival also offered a discussion and refreshments area, a quiz, a photo booth, and NEOLAiA merchandise.
The event provided a lively space for the university community to learn more about NEOLAiA and encouraged further engagement with the alliance’s activities and collaborations.
