Second staff exchange of university communicators from Örebro University and Bielefeld University in 2024 – this time in Sweden!
Does communication in academia differ between Germany and Sweden? During a three-day visit to Örebro, eight university communicators from Bielefeld learnt about the working methods and best practices of their Swedish colleagues and discussed questions such as: How do Swedish and German colleagues strategically organise their university communication? How do they use Artificial Intelligence in their work? How do the universities approach prospective students?
The German-Swedish working group also looked at examples of how they have already communicated on activities within the NEOLAiA alliance.
The Bielefeld delegation got to know the Örebro campus during their visit: They visited the Robot exhibition, the Clinical Training Centre of the School of Health, the Visual Lab and the Learning Lab.
The Swedish-German group wants to continue their exchange. During a workshop, the communicators came up with different collaboration ideas for the future, for example job shadowing, social media strategies, exchanging knowledge and best practices when it comes to communication, as well as organising workshops on shared challenges.
