In an important step towards promoting academic cooperation and building stronger links within the NEOLAiA alliance, representatives from Örebro University (Sweden) and the University of Ostrava (Czechia) visited the University of Jaén (Spain).
The main highlights of the visit:
The Rector of the University of Jaén, Nicolás Ruiz Reyes, warmly welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to all NEOLAiA Alliance objectives and all international partnerships.
Interesting discussions took place between the visiting members and the UJA colleagues involved in NEOLAiA, focusing on joint projects, academic exchange and future collaborations.
Representatives from the Örebro University and the University of Ostrava provided information about their institutions. The representatives emphasised the academic and research opportunities that the alliance definitely makes possible.
The visitors had the opportunity to explore the main laboratories and research facilities, directly experiencing every aspect of the University of Jaén’s academic infrastructure. Additionally, the cultural visits around the city offered a deeper appreciation of Jaén’s rich history and heritage.
The visitors had a chance to participate in the radio programme to discuss integration, interculturality, and the NEOLAiA alliance’s role in fostering a connected European academic community.
The visit let all three institutions exchange best practices, encourage important innovation, and build greater academic ties. NEOLAiA’s continuing teamwork still sets the stage for better student and staff mobility, joint research projects, and a shared commitment to European academic excellence.
