Feb 11, 2025 | Neolaia

On February 27, 2025 we invite you to join the Early Stage Researcher (ESR) seminar 2025.1: Interdisciplinary Research. The seminar will be held on Microsoft Teams (link: here) at 13:15 – 15:00 (CET). The Seminar leader – Professor Eleonor Kristoffersson, Örebro University

About the seminar

Interdisciplinary research is the collaborative integration of knowledge, methods, and perspectives from multiple disciplines to address complex problems that are beyond the scope of a single field. It emphasizes the importance of effective communication to bridge differences in terminology and methodology, fosters mutual respect among team members with diverse expertise, and requires flexibility in adapting research approaches. Key considerations include establishing clear objectives, navigating ethical standards across disciplines, and overcoming institutional barriers. By embracing interdisciplinary research, we can foster innovation, develop holistic solutions to global challenges, and contribute meaningfully to society by breaking down traditional academic silos and encouraging a culture of collaboration and open-mindedness.
