On March 11, 2025, the University of Ostrava buzzed with energy as students gathered for the second NEOLAiA Student Advisory Group (SAG) Coffee networking event. As part of the NEOLAiA European Universities Alliance, this event provided a welcoming space for students to engage in meaningful conversations, exchange experiences, and expand their international networks.
A Truly Global Experience
With free coffee and snacks fuelling discussions, SAG team was delighted to welcome both Czech and Erasmus students from diverse backgrounds, including Korea, Vietnam, Turkey, France, Poland, and many more. The event fostered dialogue on internationalisation, student experiences, and fresh ideas for improving university life.
Event Highlights
The afternoon was filled with interactive activities designed to encourage engagement and collaboration:
- Study Tips Contest: Students teamed up to share and compete for the best academic success strategies.
- SWOT Analysis on Internationalisation: Attendees analysed the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats related to the global student experience, providing valuable insights for the future of NEOLAiA.
- Icebreaker Bingo: A fun way to spark new connections and build friendships across cultures.
- City Centre Meetup: To wrap up the day, students took their conversations beyond the event space and explored Ostrava together.
What’s Next?
Looking ahead, SAG is excited to announce the upcoming NEOLAiA Picnic this April! This will be a relaxed and friendly gathering where students can continue to build connections, share ideas, and engage with the NEOLAiA community.
