The first NEOLAiA International Symposium on Plurilingualism

Sep 9, 2024 | Events

The University of Tours (France) is organising the first NEOLAiA International Symposium dedicated to university language policies from 16 to 18 October, 2024, at MAME, Cité de la Création et de l’innovation (Tours). The three-day event will bring together language policy specialists and universities from other European alliances and will include conferences, workshops and roundtable discussions. The joint work carried out during this symposium will serve as a basis for the development of a common charter on language and intercultural policy for the NEOLAiA partner universities.
The scientific organisation of the symposium, co-financed by the European Union, was entrusted to the DYNADIV laboratory of the University of Tours. The programme was developed in collaboration with the University of Jaén, which is responsible for the NEOLAiA work package “Towards a plurilingual and intercultural European university”, and the seven other member universities of the Alliance.
Presentations will be webcasted and interpreted live in French, English and Spanish.
