NEOLAiA Alliance: Highlights of the events in March 2025

March was an eventful month for the NEOLAiA Alliance with several important meetings and initiatives to strengthen collaboration, sustainability and student engagement at the partner universities.

European Commission Meeting with European Universities Alliances

The coordinators of the NEOLAiA project from Universidad of Jaén and the NEOLAiA Alliance from Örebro University actively participated in the high-level meeting “Shaping the Future: European Universities Alliances for a Competitive Europe”. This event, organized by the European Commission, brought together coordinators from 65 funded European University Alliances to discuss best practices, achievements, and challenges. The presence of the Vice-President of the European Commission, Roxana Mînzatu, underlined the importance of strengthening the competitiveness of the European Higher Education Area.

WP10 Sustainability and Dissemination Meeting in Šiauliai

On March 5-6, Šiauliai State University of Applied Sciences (ŠVK) hosted an on-site meeting for Work Package 10 (Sustainability and Dissemination), an important initiative aimed at ensuring the long-term impact and visibility of the NEOLAiA Alliance. This meeting provided an opportunity for members to develop strategies and coordinate their efforts to promote the Alliance’s goals. Read more.

Strengthening International Collaboration at USV

On March 6-7, the Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava (USV) warmly welcomed a delegation from Örebro University, Sweden. The visit coincided with the USV anniversary days and provided an excellent framework for strengthening international partnerships within the framework of NEOLAiA. Read more.

NEOLAiA Coffee Date with Student Advisory Group

Engaging students remains a priority for NEOLAiA, and the second NEOLAiA Coffee Date at the University of Ostrava provided a platform for meaningful discussions. Students had the opportunity to exchange ideas with the Student Advisory Group, enhancing their involvement in the Alliance’s initiatives. Read more.
